At the virtual Baltic Sea Youth Camp 2.0 on October 17 we worked together with a group of young visionaires from the Baltic Sea Region to contribute meaningfully to the future of the Baltic Sea Region. This was set out in the Baltic Sea Youth Declaration, put together by the young participants at the 3rd Baltic Sea Youth Camp and the 2nd virtual edition in 2020.
The Declaration was presented to the Baltic Sea Region policy and decision-makers at the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Annual Forum on October 20, to be taken into account by each of the Policy Areas of the EUSBSR.
The Baltic Sea Youth Platform is a common framework for and by the young people in the Baltic Sea Region.
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU and the partnership consists of the CBSS, Euroregion Baltic, BSSSC, UBC and ESN Finland.
There are already several associated partners and projects.
The aim is to empower young people in the region and to make their voices be listened to on all levels.
One of the main goals of the Baltic Sea Youth Platform - Erasmus+ project was the establishment of a common virtual platform.
Only 6 months into the project a platform has been launched.
ACTER is a new way to collaborate, connect and to understand the structures within the Baltic Sea Region and beyond.
The Baltic Sea Youth Camp (BSYC) is an event aiming to engage young people within the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR).
Young adults between 18-25 years can join the event and learn about the history of the region, the political levels within the region and the various Policy Areas (PA) and Horizontal Actions (HA) of the EUSBSR.
The event offers a safe space to discuss own ideas and visions.
The aim is to enable the young visionairies to equally participate in the EUSBSR Annual Forum.
The young people are prepared by the PA and HA coordinators for their respective workshops during the Annual Forum, where the young people can present own thoughts and discuss with their Baltic Sea peers.
